Russia and Ukraine held the biggest exchange of war prisoners since February 2022 invasion. In a deal mediated by the United Arab Emirates Moscow and Kiev swapped over two hundred captive soldiers each. The arrangement was not hampered by massive missile strikes Moscow has launched against Ukraine on New Year's eve. Kiev says another prisoner exchange may happen in the next couple of weeks.
