Hostage deal & truce to begin Thursday

The truce between Israel and Hamas is set to take effect at 10am local
time on Thursday.

The agreement will see Hamas release 50 hostages from Gaza over the
next four days.

However, the names of the people who will be announced until just
before they are released.

Hungarian Government Establishes Sovereignty Defense Office

Guinea to investigate former president Conde for alleged treason

Strange Disease Kills 14 People in Uganda

Fourteen people in Uganda are suspected to have died of Anthrax, a highly infectious disease that is gotten from eating meat of infected animals. 

 

The disease usually infects animals like cattle, goats, or sheep.

Rescuers hope to evacuate 41 trapped Indian workers in the next 2 days

Eleven days in, an ongoing operation to rescue 41 workers trapped in a collapsed tunnel in India's Uttarakhand region is at a crucial juncture.

Fed minutes snap Wall Street hot streak

A five day hot streak has come to an end on Wall Street following the
release of minutes from the Federal Reserve's last policy meeting.

With inflation remaining stubbornly high the Fed provided no guidance
on when it will start lowering interest rates.

Gaza hostage deal expected

Musk sues nonprofit over antisemitic accusation

Elon Musk has sued Media Matters for America accusing the nonprofit of
trying to drive advertisers from the social media platform X.

This comes after the advocacy group accused the site formerly known as
Twitter of posting adverts alongside antisemitic content.

Musk was recently accused of antisemitism after seemingly endorsing a
post that accused Jewish communities of advocating for hatred against

Standoff continues at OpenAI
