A deal between Israel and Hamas could be announced within hours; to free some hostages held in Gaza, in exchange for a pause in fighting according to U.S. officials quoted in the media.
Qatar has been helping negotiations being brokered by the U.S. with all sides stressing there needs to be an announcement before it's official.
