Russia loses bid to rejoin Human Rights Council

Russia has lost a vote to be reelected to the United Nations Human
Rights Council.

Moscow was suspended last year after launching its full-scale invasion
of Ukraine.

Families of missing Americans in Israel urge Biden to free their loved-ones

Families of Americans missing in Israel are piling pressure on the Biden Administration to take action to rescue their loved-ones.


On Monday, the White House confirmed at least eleven Americans have been killed in the fighting.  


President Biden said it's likely Americans have been taken hostage by Hamas.

US President Joe Biden to speak (17:00 GMT) on Israel-Hamas conflict

US President Joe Biden will address the nation shortly, as he faces pressure to lay out his country's response to an escalating crisis in the Middle East. 


Eleven Americans were killed in what he calls an "unprecedented and appalling assault" by the Hamas terror-group, which left hundreds dead. 


The White House says it's also "likely" that some United States citizens are being detained in Gaza having been abducted in southern Israel during Saturday's brutal attack.

President Biden interviewed over classified documents

US President Joe Biden has been interviewed as part of an investigation into his handling of classified documents.


Papers from his time as Vice-President were found in his home and a think-tank he founded in Washington DC.


The president's team says he had voluntarily granted the two-day interview, and is cooperating fully with the investigation.

Dueling ralles in America over Gaza attacks, as Trump criticizes Biden

Rallies have taken place across the United States relating to the crisis in the Middle East.


For the second day running, supporters of Israel and Palestine clashed outside the Israeli consulate in Manhattan.


President Biden will speak later today from the White House about what he's called the "hostage crisis" in Gaza, where several Americans are among the hostages seized by Hamas from Israel over the weekend.
