Venezuela's opposition leader Juan Guaido denies seeking asylum in US

Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaidó remains in the United States after he was expelled from Colombia earlier this week.

His immediate political future is uncertain, but he says he will not seek political asylum.

Former Italian PM Giuseppe Conte to testify about early response to COVID-19 next month

Air strikes in Khartoum as evacuations continue

Air strikes have hit the Sudanese capital Khartoum as a failed ceasefire approaches its end.

The U.S. and African nations are working to extend the pause in fighting between rival generals.

It comes as foreign governments use the 72-hour window to evacuate citizens.

Appeal lodged against acquittal of Air France and Airbus over 2009 crash
