US and China expected to send official delegations to Taiwan

The US is preparing to send one of its top defense officials to Taiwan, according to the Financial Times newspaper. The trip would come as China is also preparing to send an official delegation to Taiwan for the first time in three years.

Japan takes step towards shooting down suspected aerial threats

Japan’s ruling coalition is agreeing to empower the defense force to shoot down flying objects in its airspace. 

It comes after the government suspects three past cases of Chinese spy balloons over the country between 2019 and 2021.

Not a good day for U.S markets

US markets tumbled on Thursday following the second inflation report
in almost a week that showed interest rate hikes have done little to
cool the economy.
The Producer Price Index came in above expectations, rising 0.7% last month.

Georgia probe finds no proof of fraud despite Trump protestations

The partial publication of a grand jury report into Donald Trump's election interference in Georgia has "unanimously" determined there was no widespread fraud in the state.

FBI search Delaware University in investigation of Biden's handling of classified documents

The FBI has conducted two searches at the University of Delaware as part of a Special Counsel investigation into President Joe Biden's handling of classified documents, according to reporting from CNN.

Nigeria’s President Buhari Approves Continued Use of Old N200 Currency Note for the 60 Days

President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to release old N200 notes into circulation to co-exist with new N200, N500 and N1,000 banknotes for 60 days.


The CBN introduced the newly redesigned naira notes last year in a bid to reduce money in circulation, inflation and encourage a cashless economy.
