China warns of counter measures against international travel curbs

China is threatening to hit back at what it says are "politically motivated" Covid restrictions being placed on Chinese travelers. A growing list of countries are tightening their immigration rules for arrivals from China, amid concerns over the scale of the Covid outbreak there.

Suspect in Idaho University killings waives extradition

The man suspected of killing four university students has waived his extradition rights, voluntarily agreeing to return to Idaho to face murder charges.

Bryan Kohberger - a graduate student studying criminology not far from where the fatal stabbings took place - was arrested at his parent's house in Pennsylvania last week.

Irish PM: "mistakes were made" in the handling of Brexit


Ireland's Prime Minister Leo Varadkar has said "mistakes were made" in the handling of Brexit.

He also said the Northern Ireland Protocol was a "little bit too strict."

Under the terms of the Brexit agreement, Northern Ireland kept certain EU rules in areas such as food standards, allowing goods to flow into the Republic of Ireland - and therefore the EU single market - without border checks.
