French government delays planned pension reform

The French government has delayed the announcement of further details of its controversial planned pension reform.

The proposals will now not be unveiled later this week, and instead will be published on January 10.

US scientists expected to announce major energy breakthrough using nuclear fusion

US scientists are this week expected to announce that they've made a huge breakthrough in developing an unlimited, clean source of energy using nuclear fusion.
