UK Foreign Secretary pledges to reach "far beyond long-established alliances"

In his first major speech since taking the role, British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly said the UK needs to "reach far beyond long-established alliances."

While praising the achievements of the U.N. and other international institutions over the decades, Cleverly said the UK needs to focus on emerging countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America to maintain the international order.
