EU approves rules mandating single charger for all smartphones from 2024

People living in the European Union will no longer have to keep a handful of different chargers for their tech devices from the end of 2024.

That's after lawmakers in the European Parliament gave final backing to legislation that will force manufacturers of mobile phones and some other gadgets to fit all devices with USB-C charging ports.

The laws are the first of their kind in the world.

Nigerian Billionaire Arrested By the Country’s Drug Law Enforcement Agency For Drug Trafficking

Nigeria's Drug Law Enforcement Agency says it has arrested Ugochukwu Nsofor Chukwukadibia, a billionaire drug barron and recovered over 13 million Tramadol pills worth over $18 million in street value from one of his mansions in a highbrow residential estate in Lagos State.

 

The arrest of Ugochukwu who is the Chairman of Autonation Motors Ltd, comes barely two months after NDLEA uncovered a methamphetamine clandestine laboratory in the residence of another suspected drug kingpin in the estate, Chris Emeka Nzewi, who was arrested in July.
