UK GOVT FACES NEW REBELLION OVER BENEFITS

UK Prime Minister Liz Truss is facing another rebellion from some of her MPs, after she refused to commit to raising benefits in line with inflation.

It follows a major U-turn from her government on a planned abolition of the top rate of income tax.

Opposition Labour says it would be 'grotesque' not to raise benefits to match inflation.

But Liz Truss says no decision's been made yet about whether benefits can rise as quickly as pensions will.
