South Sudan Unified Forces Graduate

The first batch of South Sudan's unified forces has officially graduated in the capital Juba.

 

The contingent of 53,000 personnel was trained and unified into one army resulting from the 2018 revitalised peace agreement.

Russia reduces gas deliveries to France

Russia has further reduced its gas deliveries to France, in a move which will deepen winter energy supply concerns.


The French energy company Engie says that Russian gas giant Gazprom has made 'additional, immediate reductions' in its gas deliveries.

Nigerian court refuses extradition of Police Chief indicted in U.S.

A federal high court in Nigeria's capital Abuja, has rejected a request by the federal government to extradite a suspended police chief to the United States to face fraud charges.

Dutch soldier dead after shooting in Indianapolis

One of three Dutch soldiers shot in the US city of Indianapolis over the weekend has died.
