Australian opposition fails to move with the times on climate change

The Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese says the federal Opposition is increasingly isolated, after Labor's climate policy passed its first hurdle. 


The government's plan to reduce emissions by 43 per cent over this decade, has made it through the lower house.

Hong Kong set to reduce quarantine for incoming travellers

Hong Kong is expected to announce an easing of quarantine rules for incoming  travelers on Friday. Local media reports say the government is expected to cut the current one week rule by at least two days.

Stocks surge on data and earnings

U.S. stocks rebounded Wednesday thanks to some better-than-expected
corporate earnings.

And investors received some assurances that the economy has not
slipped into a recession.

Biden signs second executive order to protect abortion access

US President Biden has signed an executive order to give more support
to women who travel out of their home state to seek an abortion.

It follows the Supreme Court ruling that struck down the nationwide

make their own rules.

Kansas votes to protect abortion rights in surprise result

The US state of Kansas has voted decisively to uphold women's right to abortion access in the state, a major victory for pro-choice campaigners.


The referendum in the conservative state was the first test of public support for the issue following the US Supreme Court's decision to strike down the federal abortion protections.

EU, US urge for services in Ethiopia North
