China Industrial Profits Fall at Slower Pace in May

In China, profits at industrial firms shrank at a slower pace last month compared to April's big slump.

That's as easing COVID restrictions allowed companies to resume activity in major manufacturing hubs.

The G7 summit has kicked off in Germany, with leaders from the world's wealthiest democracies seeking to remain united in the face of issues stemming from Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Americans grieve or celebrate Supreme Court abortion ruling

There have been both angry and jubilant reactions to the US Supreme
Court decision to overturn a landmark abortion law.

Pro-choice and pro-life campaigners both gathered outside the Court
after the justices ruled it is now up to each state to decide access
to abortion.

More than half of America's 50 states are expected to ban or severely
restrict the ability to get an abortion.

US House passes gun control law

The US House of Representatives has passed the first significant gun control legislation in nearly three decades, following a series of deadly mass shootings in America.

Two defeats for UK Conservative Party in by-elections

The UK's ruling Conservative Party have lost two key by-elections, sparking further calls for Prime Minister Johnson to resign.

UK Police Arrest Nigeria’s Former Deputy Senate President For Organ Harvesting
