8 NEW CITIES FOR QUEEN'S JUBILEE

Eight new locations are being awarded city status to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of Britain's Queen Elizabeth.

There's at least one in every UK nation, and on the overseas territory of the Falklands, and the crown dependency the Isle of Man.

The towns of Milton Keynes, Dunfermline, Bangor and Wrexham all become cities.

Twitter to roll out new "crisis misinformation policy"

Twitter has announced new policies designed to slow the spread of misinformation in crisis situations such as natural disasters, armed conflict and public health emergencies

US welcomes Finland and Sweden NATO membership application

US President Joe Biden says "Finland and Sweden make NATO stronger" as he welcomed the leaders of both countries to the White House. 

The Scandinavian nations have applied to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

21-year-old Russian solider admits to shooting 62-year-old Ukrainian civillian

European officials "closely monitoring" Monkeypox clusters
