US President Joe Biden says "Finland and Sweden make NATO stronger" as he welcomed the leaders of both countries to the White House.
The Scandinavian nations have applied to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
It's a decision that would end Sweden's centuries-long military non-alignment, after its Prime Minister admitted Europe was now living in a dangerous new reality.
