Torture Video circulating in Ethiopia
Ethiopia's human rights body says it is investigating the alleged torture of a citizen by people seen wearing military uniform in a video circulating in the country.
The act reportedly happened in the Northern part of the country where conflict between the government and rebels is well into its second year.

Around 100 people were safely conveyed out of the plant in Mariupol after intervention by the UN Secretary General Antonio Gutteres.
Hundreds more civilians remain trapped, living in tunnels beneath the Avostal plant.

US Supreme Court ready to overturn landmark abortion ruling
It's been revealed that the US Supreme Court is on track to overturn a landmark 1973 ruling that legalized abortion throughout the United States.
A draft opinion leaked to a news website in Washington shows that the majority of justices on the 9-member court now favor overturning Roe versus Wade, the case that has protected abortion's legality from coast-to-coast.

Pressre mounts on Russia over civilian evacuations from Mariupol
The White House is urging Russia to allow civilian evacuations to continue from a besieged steel plant in the Ukrainian Black Sea port of Mariupol.
Though around 100 evacuees did reach safety within the last 24 hours, the Avostal factory has again been shelled by the Russians.

Ukraine claims Russians have resumed shelling of Mariupol steel plant
Ukrainian officials say the Russians have started shelling a besieged steel plant in the city of Mariupol where hundreds of civilians remain trapped.
The Azovstal plant has been the last bastion of Ukrainian efforts to resist a full Russian takeover of the city.
Ukrainian commanders say the shelling resumed shortly after a first batch of civilians were successfully evacuated from tunnels beneath the complex.
