Stocks in Tokyo opened moderately higher following a shakeup of Japanese markets.

Shanghai begins mass city-wide testing as COVID-19 outbreak grows

China is sending thousands of medics and military personnel to Shanghai, to carry out a mass test of the city’s 26 million residents amid a growing outbreak of Covid-19.

Faced with no-confidence vote, Pakistan PM calls for fresh elections
