4000 luxury cars sink after cargo ship fire near Azores

A cargo ship that was carrying thousands of luxury cars has sunk in the Atlantic ocean off the Portuguese Azores archipelago


The ship, named Felicity Ace was bound for the US but caught fire nearly two weeks ago.

US citizens react positively in the polls after Biden's state of the union address

Much of US president Joe Biden's state of the union address was aimed at the situation in Ukraine.


Critics say he won't want to be seen as the president who let Ukraine fall to Russia.


During the speech, he also spoke about the challenges presented by the pandemic, especially on the economy.


Since taking office, Biden's popularity has fallen.


But there has been a somewhat positive reaction to the speech amongst US citizens, that, though, might not be enough to win back long-lasting support.

Oil prices hit highest level in a decade

U.S. oil prices have hit its highest levels in over a decade as the
war in Ukraine continues to impact the energy sector.

IAEA MEETS TO DISCUSS UKRAINE NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS

More peace talks could be held later between Russia and Ukraine.


Russia has continued its bombardment of Ukrainian cities with hundreds of casualties on both sides reported.

Russia denies targeting Ukrainian civilians despite the hundreds that have been killed or injured

Nigeria University Lecturers Still On An Indefinite Strike Despite Government Intervention

Lecturers in public universities in Nigeria are still on a one month warning strike despite the payment of 220 million dollars to them by the government.

 

The money is part of an implementation agreement with the lecturers who have made demands worth over two billion dollars.
