US citizens react positively in the polls after Biden's state of the union address

Much of US president Joe Biden's state of the union address was aimed at the situation in Ukraine.

Critics say he won't want to be seen as the president who let Ukraine fall to Russia.

During the speech, he also spoke about the challenges presented by the pandemic, especially on the economy.

Since taking office, Biden's popularity has fallen.

But there has been a somewhat positive reaction to the speech amongst US citizens, that, though, might not be enough to win back long-lasting support.

Our US bureau chief Simon Marks reports.
