No apology from UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson over Jimmy Savile comment after Labour party leader is harassed outside Parliament

The UK government has not apologised over a comment made by the Prime Minister aimed at the leader of the opposition Labour party, Keir Starmer.

Last week in the House of Commons Prime Minister Boris Johnson claimed that Starmer had "spent most of his time prosecuting journalists" and failing to prosecute infamous sex offender Jimmy Savile, whilst he was head of the criminal prosecution service.

Critics say this is untrue and his remark may have contributed to harassment Starmer faced outside of Parliament on Monday.
