Hong Kong tightens international borders, while pushing ahead with China reopening

Hong Kong is pushing ahead with plans to reopen its border with China, while tightening its rules for international arrivals. Local health experts say investigations into cases of the Omicron variant in the city, suggest it may be more contagious than other strains of COVID-19.

First US Case of Omicron Variant Detected in California

Fourth victim dies in deadliest US school shooting of 2021

US Supreme Court hears landmark abortion case

The US Supreme Court is considering a case that could result in millions of women losing access to abortion.


The justices are being asked to uphold a Mississippi law that bans abortions after 15 weeks and overturn Roe v Wade, the decision which legalized abortion nationwide nearly 50 years ago.

Covid booster jabs extended to all adults in bid to offer more vaccines to counter Omicron
