US FDA authorises Pfizer jab for 5 - 11-year-olds

Children in the US could soon be vaccinated against covid-19


The Food and Drug Administration advisory panel has recommended authorising the Pfizer jab for children aged 5 to eleven.


It says the benefits of the shot outweigh any other health risks.

Buckingham Palace: Queen will NOT attend Cop26 in person

The Queen will not participate in the Cop26 climate change summit in person.


Instead of traveling to Glasgow, Buckingham Palace says the 95 year old monarch will record a video message for the gathering instead.


The news comes just days after her doctors urged her to rest after she spent a night in hospital a week ago.

UN climate report warns of risks of missing COP climate targets

China imposes fresh restrictions to battle Delta variant

China has locked down a city of four million, in an effort to stamp out a spike in coronavirus cases.

The city involved, Lanzhou, has seen six news cases, and residents have been told to shelter in place, unless they have an emergency.


Beijing residents have also been told not to leave or enter the city. Tuesday’s latest restrictions come as China reported 29 new cases nationally.
