Former French president Nicolas Sarkozy guilty of illegal campaign financing

The former French president Nicolas Sarkozy has been given a one-year jail term after being found guilty of illegal campaign financing on his 2012 failed bid for re-election.

It's Sarkozy's second guilty verdict this year after being given a three-year prison sentence in March for corruption - a verdict he is appealing against.

Furlough ends in UK -- Bank of England predicts a rise in unemployment

The UK's Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme is coming to an end today (Thursday).

Uganda Receives Vaccines Donated By Ireland
