A report into the death of a Sri Lankan woman detained at a Japanese immigration facility has found that the medical care system was inadequate. The facility's top officials have been reprimanded.

Chinese court to deliver verdict for Canadian entrepreneur today

A Chinese court is expected to deliver a verdict and sentence for Canadian Michael Spavor on Wednesday.

Biden: No regrets about Afghan withdrawal

President Biden says he has no regrets about authorizing the withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan, even though the Taliban have now seized control of 6 provincial capitals and are fighting to take over several others.

Biden welcomes resignation of top Democrat Gov. Andrew Cuomo after sexual harrassment investigation

US President Joe Biden has welcomed the decision by Governor Andrew Cuomo, a prominent Democrat, to resign as Governor of New York.


The Governor quit one week after an independent investigation showed he had sexually harassed 11 women including a member of his own security detail.

Six EU countries call for Afghan deportations to continue
