Search for Survivors in Miami Condo Called Off

Officials in Florida have called off the search for survivors in the condo that collapsed just north of Miami two weeks ago. 

54 people are confirmed dead, and 86 are still missing.

UGANDA SETS UP VACCINE HUB

Uganda has announced that construction is under way for a vaccine manufacturing factory outside its capital Kampala.

The 500-million-dollar vaccine plant is being put up in partnership with the University of Illinois in the US. The plant will be used to also produce doses of COVID-19 jabs. Leon Solomon reports

New York declares emergency to combat gun violence

New York has become the first state in the U.S. to declare gun

Delta variant more than half of U.S. COVID-19 cases

Haiti's President assassinated at home

UK gvt facing questions over self-isolation rule changes

Prime Minister Boris Johnson is facing a backlash over his government's decision to wait six weeks to end self-isolation rules. 


From 16th August, children and fully vaccinated adults in Britain won't need to isolate for 10 days having come into close contact with someone who's tested positive for Covid-19. 


But that date is more than a month after the end of coronavirus restrictions in the UK.

UN Says Attacks on Schools Will Affect Education in Nigeria

A dutch crime journalist is fighting for his life after being shot in Amsterdam. 

Peter R. De Vries had been in a TV studio for a regular TV appearance before being targeted.

Australia - Government to enlist big business to ramp up vaccine rollout
