India's capital imposes full lockdown for six days

New Delhi is imposing a full lockdown till next Monday as cases in the capital hit record highs.

The region's government says it had no choice since medical infrastructure is at breaking point in Delhi.

India posts another record COVID19 spike

More than 273,000 people tested positive in India in the last 24 hours, the biggest single-day surge anywhere in the world. This has taken the country's overall caseload past 15 million.  

Several parts of the country are grappling with an acute shortage of beds and oxygen- with India's capital New Delhi describing the current situation as an 'emergency'.

Japan to secure more vaccines amid fourth coronavirus wave

Japan is expected to acquire enough COVID-19 vaccines for all residents aged 16 or over by the end of September, after discussions with Pfizer's CEO over the weekend.

Hong Kong issues flight bans over mutant COVID-19 strain

Hong Kong is banning flights from India, Pakistan and the Philippines for two weeks, due to concerns over a mutant strain of COVID-19.

Indianapolis gunman legally bought assault rifles

Police have revealed a gunman who killed eight people in Indiana,
bought two rifles legally despite previously having a firearm
confiscated.

19 year old Brandon Hole also killed himself after the attack on a

Biden to maintain Trump refugee limits
