His Royal Highness Prince Phillip, The Duke of Edinburgh has died. He was 99.

As the husband of Queen Elizabeth the second, he was the longest serving consort in history.

Prince Philip, husband of Queen Elizabeth II is being remembered today around the world after news of his death was announced by Buckginham Palace.


The Duke of Edinburgh died at Windsor Castle…just three weeks after spending a month in hospital with a heart ailment.


The tributes in Britain are being led by Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

Condolences have been sent from royal families around Europe, after the death of Prince Philip, the husband of Elizabeth the second.

PM Boris Johnson pays tribute to Prince Philip

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has paid tribute to Prince Philip, husband of Queen Elizabeth who has died at the age of 99.


The Prime Minister said the Duke of Edinburgh had "earned the affections of generations" of people across the UK and around the world.


He spoke at Number 10 Downing Street shortly after Buckingham Palace announced the news.

Prince Philip, husband of Queen Elizabeth, dead at 99


Buckingham Palace has announced that the Duke of Edinburgh, husband of Britain's Queen Elizabeth II, has died.

He was 99, and had been the Queen's constant companion for the last 73 years.  

In March he spent a month in hospital being treated for a heart ailment, before returning to Windsor Castle. .

Prince Philip didn't hesitate to speak his mind on the great affairs of state.

In February 1967, as Britain faced an economic downturn, he called on the country to rally round.

Prince Philip spoke often about the threats being faced by the environment.

Speaking in 1970 at a meeting of the World Wildlife Fund, he was one of the strongest voices pushing for new regulations to control the scourge of pollution.

Prince Philip, husband to Queen Elizabeth the second has died aged 99 - the announcement was made by Buckingham Palace.

Africa Union halts AstraZeneca supply plans following UK and EU age limits

The Africa Union has decided to stop plans to secure doses of the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine because of supply concerns from India. 

Focus will now turn to the single-shot Johnson and Johnson vaccine instead.

African countries will continue to receive supplies of AstraZeneca through the WHO's vaccine sharing facility Covax.

France to stop second AstraZeneca doses for under-55s

The French High Authority for Health is recommending that people under the age of 55 who had an AstraZeneca shot for their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine should have Pfizer or Moderna for their second shot.

French health officials say that combining two vaccines poses no risks.

Soyuz rocket launches to mark spaceflight anniversary

SADC LEADERS CONDEMN MOZ ATTACKS, DEPLOY A TECHNICAL MISSION

Australia – Under 50's advised not to take Astra Zeneca jab

The Australian government is recommending people under the age of 50 not take the AstraZeneca covid vaccine.

Beijing Could Vaccinate 70% of Residents by May
