Biden to reinstate Covid travel bans on UK, Europe Brazil plus SA

The Biden administration is reinstating COVID-19 travel restrictions on most non-US citizens entering the country from the UK, parts of Europe and Brazil.

 

According to reports South Africa has also been added to the list, because of rising cases of its new coronavirus variant.

Thousands of Russian protesters arrested

Joe Biden lifts ban on Tanzania for the US diversity visa

Nissan commits to car-making in UK plant following Brexit deal

Nissan has committed to keep making cars in the UK. The Japanese automobile manufacturer says its factory in Sunderland, in the north of England, will remain active in the long-term, thanks to the trade deal reached between Britain and the EU.


Nissan had previously issued warnings that if the UK left the EU without a deal, the resulting tariffs on cars and components would make the plant "unsustainable."

France to require negative Covid-19 tests for EU travellers

President Macron has told other EU leaders that France will require a negative PCR test to have been carried out 72 hours before departure for most European travellers wanting to enter France.
