Nissan commits to car-making in UK plant following Brexit deal

Nissan has committed to keep making cars in the UK. The Japanese automobile manufacturer says its factory in Sunderland, in the north of England, will remain active in the long-term, thanks to the trade deal reached between Britain and the EU.

Nissan had previously issued warnings that if the UK left the EU without a deal, the resulting tariffs on cars and components would make the plant "unsustainable."
