China jails Hong Kong fugitives for illegal border crossing
China has sentenced ten Hong Kongers to jail for illegally crossing the border, after they were arrested while allegedly trying to flee to Taiwan by boat.
The group has been detained in China for more than four months since being intercepted by the Chinese coastguard.
The sentencing comes amid international calls for the group to be released immediately.
