Tributes Paid To 'Literary Giant' John le Carré

Tributes have been paid to the author John le Carré, who has died at the age of 89.

Stephen King called him  "a literary giant and a humanitarian spirit".

Tanzania’s opposition leader Tundu Lissu gets international human rights award

Chadema's Vice Chairman Tundu Lissu got the Bush Thatcher Award For Freedom awarded to him and his party. Mr. Lissu said in his acceptance speech that the award was international recognition and acknowledgment of the personal and collective sacrifice made in Tanzania to fight for democracy and protect basic people's freedoms.

First US Covid-19 vaccines to start on Monday

The first Covid-19 vaccinations in the US are expected to take place
later on Monday.

The vaccine rollout has already begun, with hospitals due to receive
doses of the Pfizer vaccine in the coming hours.

But it comes at the same time as the total number of deaths in the
country from the virus inches closer to 300,000.
