Japan sends Self-Defence Force nurses to short-staffed cities

Japan has been experiencing its worst spike in COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began, with record breaking numbers of infections this week. 
 
The federal government has started sending Self-Defence Force nurses as reinforcements for frontline workers.

Ottawa: Two Canadians Haven't Been Tried


China has confirmed Canadians Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor, held in China for two years now, have not been put on trial as was reported by some news outlets.

US Federal Advisors Endorse Pfizer Vaccine

Federal advisers in the US have endorsed the Pfizer BioNtech vaccine.

The EU's set out No Deal Brexit contingency plans for the end of the year.

It comes after London and Brussels said Sunday would be the new deadline for talks on a trade deal to reach agreement.
