UN says more than 100 killed in Boko Haram attack in Nigeria




The United Nations says the death toll of people killed by Boko Haram insurgents in Nigeria over the weekend has risen to more than a hundred.

They were reportedly killed in a farming community in the northeastern state of Borno.

Tanzania’s environmental management body calls for alternatives for plastic as December plastic ban looms closer

As the  December 31st  deadline for plastic packaging draws closer the National Environment Management Council has called for interested parties to present their views and advice to the Tanzania Bureau of Standards for alternative packing options.

Banned packaging includes tubing, bottles, and the type used by vendors to store different products like peanuts and cashew nuts.

A leading Indian vaccine manufacturer says it will file a defamation suit for 13 million USD against a volunteer who took part in a coronavirus vaccine trial.
