US sanctions Carrie Lam, other Chinese officials in Hong Kong


The White House on Friday imposed sanctions on eleven government officials in Hong Kong, including chief executive Carrie Lam.


The US Treasury Department accuses them of undermining Hong Kong's autonomy and restricting freedom of expression and assembly.

Ghana to hold general elections in December amid COVID-19 pandemic


The coronavirus pandemic has affected the election calendar of many countries across the world this year. While some have postponed the elections, others are taking the risk of holding the elections despite the challenges posed by the health crisis. U.S. adds nearly 1.8 million jobs last month

The U.S. economy added close to 1.8 million jobs in July marking two
months of record-setting growth.

DRC PLAGUE OUTBREAK

Trump signs TikTok ban deadline

JAPAN AND UK MEET TO TRY AND STRIKE FIRST POST-BREXIT TRADE DEAL
