Ghana lifts restrictions on social and religious gatherings.


Ghana is further easing restrictions that were enforced during the outbreak of COVID-19. A ban on social and religious gatherings has been lifted despite the continuous increase of infections. The government says it will enforce safety measures to contain the spread of the coronavirus. But the latest easing of restrictions has been met with mixed reactions.

India braces for another cyclone

India is expected to be hit by its second cyclone in just a couple of weeks - Cyclone Nisarga.

A depression in the Arabian Sea is likely to intensify into a severe cyclone and make landfall in the western states of Maharashtra and Gujarat on Wednesday.

Pressure mounts on Trump after police and protestors clash for sixth night running

Protests across the U.S. over the death of African-American George Floyd erupted for a six consecutive night Sunday, leaving scores of American cities

Muscovites begins easing lockdown with early-morning exercise outings

Muscovites are being allowed out to walk and exercise for the first time in more than two months this morning - but everyone is being told they must wear a mask. But as Dan Ashby reports, already people are flouting the rules.

6th Day of Protests across the US

Protests sparked by the death of an unarmed black man in Minneapolis have continued for a 6th day across the United States.

George Floyd protests continue in US for 5th day

The United States is going into the fifth night of protests following
the death of an unarmed African American at the hands of white police
officers in Minneapolis on Monday.

George Floyd's death has sparked outrage across the US with protests
in some major cities turning violent.

Protesters were out in Washington DC on Saturday to voice their anger
at President Donald Trump who they say has tweeted inflammatory
remarks that have incited violence and done little to calm the
tensions.
