Russia overtakes China's coronavirus figures

More than 87,000 people in Russia have been diagnosed with coronavirus, overtaking China's official figures on the outbreak. Russian authorities say more than three million tests have been carried out. Julia Chapman reports from Moscow.

Italy unveils lockdown exit strategy with lowest death toll since mid-March

Spain, Italy and France have recorded their lowest daily death toll in over a month. 

Italian authorities said on Sunday that 260 people had died of COVID-19- the lowest daily increase since March 14th.

Social distancing in US to continue through summer says Dr Birx

EU Chief negotiator lambasts UK following second round of Brexit talks

The EU's chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier has criticised the UK for failing to seriously engage with the post-Brexit trade negotiations and refusing to extend the transition period.
