The EU's chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier has criticised the UK for failing to seriously engage with the post-Brexit trade negotiations and refusing to extend the transition period.
Speaking at a press conference in Brussels following the conclusion of the second round of negotiations, Mr Barnier said there had been 'disappointing progress.'
He said there had been no progress on the contentious issue of fishing rights which the EU says must form part of the future agreement.
