US COVID-19 death toll climbs to second-highest globally

The United States now has the second highest death toll from COVID-19,
behind Italy.

The latest figures show almost 17,000 people have died - surpassing
Spain's fatalities - while the US has more than 460,000 confirmed
cases.

India's lockdown may get extended as precaution to contain COVID-19

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is mulling whether to extend the world's largest lockdown as the nation continues to grapple with the spread of coronavirus.

Uganda Arrests Officials Over COVID-19 Relief Fraud

Uganda has arrested four top government officials following reports they inflated COVID-19 relief food prices.

 

The officials who work in the office of Prime Minister, have been running a program to provide food relief for vulnerable people amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Major oil exporters agree production cuts

Ugandan President Releases Exercise Video

Uganda's President Yoweri Museveni has released an indoor exercise video of himself showing Ugandans how to workout in small spaces.

New daily infections of Covid-19 in S. Korea surging downward

South Korea once had the second most cases of Covid-19 in the world. But their latest daily tally is just 27 new infections, a record low for the country that once recorded more than 900 cases in a single day.

President Trump has said nationwide testing for the coronavirus is "not necessary" before reopening the US economy.

UK PM LEAVES INTENSIVE CARE

UK prime minister, Boris Johnson, has left intensive care and has returned to his hospital ward.

He remains under close observation at St Thomas' hospital in London.

But in a statement, Downing Street said he's "in extremely good spirits".

It comes as the UK government announced 881 deaths, bringing the total to 8000.

Renewed hope in Spain as European countries plan exit strategy

Spain has reported a drop in its death toll, which has renewed hopes that the epidemic is levelling off.

Federal Reserve to roll out $2.3 trillion in loans to boost U.S. economy

Ugandan University Develops Low Cost Ventilator
