Spain has reported a drop in its death toll, which has renewed hopes that the epidemic is levelling off.
Italy has also seen its daily death toll fall after putting in place a country-wide lockdown in early March.
France is expected to extend its lockdown, with President Macron due to give a televised address on Monday.
