Boris Johnson "stable" in intensive care

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson remains in intensive care in London battling coronavirus.


But his condition is described as stable and he has not yet required the use of a ventilator.


The Queen has sent get-well messages to Mr. Johnson and his family.

Russia's businesses ask for help

Rwanda Honors Those Killed in Genocide 25 Years Ago

Rwandans have begun a weeklong celebration to honor those killed during the 1994 gencocide against the Tutsi minority.

About a million Rwandans, most of them from the country's Tutsi minority tribe and moderate Hutus were killed during the 1994 genocide.

The killings started after former President Juvenal Habyarimana and his counterpart Cyprien Ntaryamira of Burundi, both Hutus were killed when their plane was shot down.

S. Korea marks second day of fewer than 50 new Covid-19 infections

For the second day in a row, South Korea has reported fewer than 50 new infections of Covid-19. At one point, the country was recording more than 900 cases a day and had the second largest outbreak worldwide.

Donald Trump warned of "retaliation" if India doesn't export Hydroxychloroquine to the US.

The drug - also known as HCQ, is a well-known anti-malaria medication being tested as a potential treatment for coronavirus, although its effectiveness is unproven.

Hopes for Spain as death toll falls for fourth consecutive day

There are hopes the worst may be over in Spain, where the rate of new infection is said to be falling in every region of the country and the death toll has fallen for the fourth consecutive day.

In Italy and France, there was in increase in the death rate- but signs that the rate of new infection is slowing. 

Lockdowns have been extended until past the Easter weekend, and are predicted to stay in place for several weeks.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson remains in an intensive care unit in London fighting coronavirus.

He spent the night there after being moved into intensive care on Monday after his condition worsened.

Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab will deputise for him 'where necessary' while he's treated.

Will Walden worked for Boris Johnson's staff when he was Mayor of London and says the Prime Minister had been trying to continue working while unwell.

EU leaders have expressed their support for the UK Prime Minister following his admission to intensive care.

President Trump offers medical assistance to British PM

President Trump has said he's asked two drug companies to offer medical assistance to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

Acting US Secretary of Navy Slams Former Captain of USS Theodore Roosevelt

The Acting US Secretary of the Navy is defending his criticism of the former captain of the USS Theodore Roosevelt, an aircraft carrier that's seen an outbreak of COVID-19. Captain Brett Crozier was fired after a he wrote a letter to top U.S. Navy commanders

warning about the threat COVID-19 posed to the sailors on the aircraft carrier.

Actress Honor Blackman dies

Honor Blackman, best-known for playing Bond girl Pussy Galore, has died at the age of 94.

 

The British actress, who became a household name in the 1960s, enjoyed a career spanning eight decades.

US braces for week of "peak deaths"

The US already has more cases of Coronavirus than anywhere else in the world - now its bracing itself for a week in which officials say the number of deaths will peak.

New York zoo tiger tests positive for Covid-19

A four-year-old Malayan tiger at a New York zoo has tested positive
for the coronavirus.

This is believed to be the first known instance of a human passing
Covid-19 onto an animal and it becoming sick.
