Number of confirmed cases of Coronavirus in India rises to at least 60

India's federal government confirmed that the number of coronavirus detected patients have risen to over 60.

New cases have been reported from several states including the capital of New Delhi.

BOE SLASHES UK INTEREST RATES OVER CORONAVIRUS

The Bank of England's made an emergency cut to interest rates in response to the coronavirus outbreak.

The main rate's gone down from 0.75 percent to a joint historic low of 0.25 percent.

In a statement the bank said its role is to help UK businesses and households manage through an "economic shock" from Covid-19.

Democratic Republic of Congo Records First Case of COVID 19

The Health Ministry says the patient is a Belgian national and has been put under isolation.

Number of dead in Italy from the coronavirus sees record spike

At least 631 people are now confirmed to have died from the coronavirus in Italy, with a total of 10,000 people now testing positive for the disease.

The National Institute of Health said that 168 people had died in the last 24 hours, the highest number in a day so far.

Kenya's Rare White Giraffes Killed

Coronavirus containment zone established in New York state as US cases increase

More than 800 cases of Covid-19 have been detected in more than 30 US states, prompting several to declare states of emergency.

The governor of New York has announced a one mile containment zone in the city of New Rochelle.

One mile "containment zone" created over coronavirus-hit New Rochelle in New York

The American city of New Rochelle is to become the first in America to be enclosed by a one-mile containment zone after a coronavirus outbreak there.
