US to Lift China's Currency Manipulator Tag

The US is expected to remove its designation of China as a currency manipulator. That would remove an obstacle to a trade deal the two countries are set to sign on Wednesday.

US to Ground Drones in Civilian Progam

The US government is reportedly planning to stop its civilian drone program. According to a report in the Financial Times, that's because of concern the drones could be used by China to spy on the US.

Cory Booker Drops out of 2020 Presidential Race

Democratic Senator for New Jersey Cory Booker dropped out of the 2020 race for US President on Monday.

 

He failed to qualify for two debates including Tuesday's in Iowa and in an email to supporters said that meant it would be harder to raise the money his campaign needed to "to scale up and continue building a campaign that can win".

Indian Opposition Parties Meet to Discuss the New Citizenship Law

India's leading opposition party - the Indian National Congress asked other opposition parties to meet on Monday, to discuss the current political situation in the backdrop of the student protests and the newly-passed citizenship law  

Protests have been on-going for more than a month with students and activists calling the law unsecular.

This will be the first such meeting of the political parties regarding the citizenship law.

France hosts summit on fighting terrorist groups in the Sahel

Thailand has largest protest gathering since 2014

UN extends cross-boarder aid to Syria
