The presidents of Mali, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, Chad and Niger are in France on Monday for a summit hosted by President Emmanuel Macron, aiming to step up the fight against Islamist terror groups in the region.
France has 4500 troops on the ground in the Sahel region.
