ROYAL FAMILY 'HURT' BY HARRY AND MEGHAN ANNOUNCEMENT

Britain's Royal Family is understood to be 'hurt' and 'disappointed' the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have announced they'll stand down as senior royal.

Harry and Meghan say they'll also be changing the way they deal with the media because of concerns about reporting about them.

Day of mourning in Ukraine following tragic plane crash in Iran

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky declared a day of national mourning on Thursday honouring the 176 victims of the plane crash in Iran on January 8. According to Iran's preliminary report the crew of the jetliner were trying to return to the airport shortly after take off and never made a radio call for help. India restricts import of palm oil from Malaysia

India has officially imposed a restriction on the import of refined palm oil. Experts say this restriction will hit Malaysia hard, since the country is India's main supplier.

This move comes after Malaysia's Prime Minister Mohammad Mahathir criticised India's government for revoking Kashmir's special status six months ago and also recently for allegedly targeting Muslims through a new controversial citizenship law.

European Commission President sends Brexit deadline warning to UK

It will not be possible to sort out every aspect of Britain's future relationship with the EU before the current deadline, according to the President of the European Commission.


Ursula von der Leyen warns that both sides will have to "prioritise" which elements are negotiated before December 2020. That marks the end of the transition period during which the UK and EU will try to strike a free trade deal.

Mahathir calls for Muslim unity after Soleimani Killing
