UPDATE: Despite letter to Iraq, US Defense Secretary denies troop withdrawal preparations are about to begin
The Pentagon is now denying that the US has any plans to withdraw its forces from Iraq, despite a letter sent to the Iraqi Defense Ministry by a top US Army official who said preparations for the withdrawal are about to get underway.
Defense Secretary Mark Esper says "no decision" on the pull-out of forces has yet been taken, after the Iraqi Parliament ordered their expulsion.

Pentagon tells Iraq that US will prepare troops for withdrawal from country
The US has told the Iraqi military that it WILL go ahead and prepare for the withdrawal of withdraw five thousand US troops stationed in the country.
The Iraqi Parliament voted over the weekend for the expulsion of all foreign forces based in the country, including around fifteen hundred British troops.

Britain’s “most prolific rapist” jailed for life
A serial sexual predator convicted of 159 sex offences, including 136 rapes, has been jailed for life.
Reynhard Sinaga, aged 36, was found guilty of luring dozens men to his apartment from outside clubs in the UK city of Manchester, before drugging and assaulting them, and filming the attacks.

AU concerned about Libya
