UK economic growth slowest in nearly seven years

The UK economy grew at its slowest annual pace in nearly seven years in October, according to Britain's main statistics body. 


The Office for National Statistics says the country's GDP rose, but only by 0.7% against the same period last year.

Gunman on run in Czech Republic after shooting at hospital

Police in the Czech Republic are searching for the suspect in a mass-shooting at a hospital in the eastern part of the country. Police say the man killed at least six people when he opened fire at the hospital in Ostrava.

The opposition Labour Party hopes to keep attention on what it says is a 'crisis' in Britain's National Health Service.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson's Conservatives are continuing to target seats in England which have traditionally been held by Labour, but that voted for Brexit in 2016.

Mr Johnson says Labour's leader isn't showing leadership on Brexit despite wanting a second referendum.

'The Lady' heads to The Hague

Aung San Suu Kyi, the de facto leader of Myanmar and Nobel Peace Prize recipient is in the Hague to defend Myanmar at a genocide hearing at the International Court of Juctice.

Putin and Zelensky agree ceasefire and prisoner swap

Ebola Survivor Gets Reinfected

Awkward moment on election campaign for UK Prime Minister

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson is facing condemnation for not looking at a photograph of a sick boy in hospital which was presented to him during a television interview. 


Four-year-old Jack Williment-Barr was pictured sleeping on a pile of coats on the floor of a hospital, despite having suspected pneumonia. It was an image which prompted complaints about the number of available beds and the cuts to the country's National Health Service.
