AUSTRALIA: Major warnings over Sydney air quality as bushfire smoke blankets the city

Smoke from bushfires burning across New South Wales has created a major health hazard in Sydney and those who work outside are being encouraged to go home.
Reports indicate that the city's pollution index has reached 2-thousand-552 in the eastern suburbs, whilst the level considered hazardous to himan health is 200.
