Train services resume in Kashmir

Train services in the disputed region of Kashmir restarted on Tuesday, after they came to a halt as the Indian government's decided to revoke the region's special status.

Limited passenger services are operating, however, as the region continues to struggle to return to normalcy.

Former U.S. President Carter hospitalized

Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter has been admitted to hospital for a
procedure to relieve brain pressure.

The Carter Center says the pressure stems from bleeding following recent falls.

The 95-year-old is America's oldest serving leader.

Seoul defends decision to deport N. Koreans amid international criticism

Putin, Merkel speak ahead of Normandy summit on Donbass

The Kremlin has confirmed that President Putin spoke with German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Monday and that the two discussed the upcoming Normandy Four summit.

Uber CEO apologises for Khashoggi remarks

Uber's CEO Dara Khosrowshahi says he was wrong to call the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi a "mistake" by the Saudi government.

Myanmar sued for genocide against Rohingya

Myanmar is being sued for genocide against the Rohingya Muslim minorities in the country. The Gambia filed a lawsuit at the International Court of Justice on Monday, citing crimes of rape, murder, ethnic cleansing and destruction of evidence.
