China and EU sign new trade deal

Hundreds of Chinese and European regional product names are to be
protected under a new trade deal agreed between China and the European
Union.

The agreement on so-called, geographical indications, like cava, feta
cheese, Pixian bean paste and Anji white tea is likely to be in force
next year.

At least 17 people killed as militants attack Tajik-Uzbek border post

At least 17 people have died after an armed group launched an attack on a border post in Tajikistan.

Authorities say two security officials and 15 attackers were killed in the incident along the border with Uzbekistan.

Delhi pollution drops, but India's Supreme Court raps neighbouring states

Despite a considerable drop in Delhi's air toxins, the air quality still remains poor causing officials to express concerns as pollution levels can still spike in the next few weeks.

India's Supreme Court has strongly reprimanded local governments over their inability to curb crop burning.

The country's top court also stated central and local governments needed to work together to find a solution to the annual pollution problem in Delhi and neighbouring states.

German court approves Lufthansa strike

A court has ruled Lufthansa cabin crew can stage a 48 hour strike
starting at midnight in Germany.

The country's flagship airline had argued the action was unlawful.

Bad weather delays release of whales from Russian 'jail'

Russia's plans to release the fifty remaining beluga whales in the country's Far East region have been put on hold because of bad weather.

Investigation launched after Mexico shooting

The United States and Mexico have launched investigations after nine
members of a Mormon family were killed around 100 miles south of the
U.S. border.

Three women and six children from the prominent LeBarón family died in
an attack believed to have been carried out by a criminal group.

The family holds duel citizenship and U.S. President Donald Trump has
offered to help Mexico wage war on drug cartels.

Mexico's President López Obrador thanked his U.S. counterpart for the
offer but says the country has to act with independence.

Facebook Changes Branding

Facebook is introducing new branding, in an attempt to distinguish all the various products and services it offers. Russia-Turkey conduct second joint patrol in Syria

Delhi experiences some respite after thick smoke clears slightly

Delhi's air quality is still at hazardous levels despite pollution levels dropping slightly since Monday evening.

France has expressed regret that Donald Trump has decided to pull out of the Paris climate change agreement, after the US government formally told the United Nations it's moving to withdraw.
